PLASTFOIL® was applied during the construction of a new airplane shed in Sheremetyevo

A new airplane shed for the aircrafts sort of Boeing-777 is now under construction at the Moscow airport Sheremetyevo. This building will occupy an area of 7,250 square meters and is designed for the maintenance and repair of aircrafts. The facility is located in the western sector of the airport next to the territory of the State Research Institute of Civil Aviation. The new airplane shed is being built in terms of the development of the aviation and technical center. There are plans to service not only the Boeing-777 of Aeroflot and its subsidiaries, but also wide-bodied airplanes like Airbus-A350, Boeing-787 and others. The roofing on this object is made using the waterproofing membrane PLASTFOIL® Classic 1.5 mm. High fastening speed is also due to the large area of the waterproofing sheets and the light weight of the rolls, which are 3 to 4 times lighter than the weight of the bituminous materials. Welding of seams of the membrane sheets is performed by a fireless method with the help of special equipment. The modern waterproofing material PLASTFOIL® meets the requirements of an increased safety during roofing works. Biostable material PLASTFOIL® protects the roof from leaks and molds.
