The Ukrainian gas pipeline system with the Russian PLASTFOIL® CLASSIC waterproofing

In the Soviet Union, a powerful unified gas supply system that involved all union republics was created. Its principal difference from similar systems in foreign countries is the usage of 1240-mm, large-diameter pipes. Russian and Ukrainian gas pipeline systems are the largest in the world. At the moment, the Russian gas pipeline system is maintained by Gazprom, and the Ukrainian gas pipeline system is maintained by Ukrtransgaz. The Ukrainian gas pipeline system is the second largest in Europe and consists of a pipeline system of 37.6 thousand kilometers long, and 71 compression stations with a total capacity of 5.4 thousand MW. At one of these stations in the city of Aleksandrovka, in the Kirovograd province, the roof was repaired with the use of PLASTFOIL® CLASSIC. The advanced Russian membrane quickly made a name for itself in Ukraine a long time ago, and proved its reliability at many facilities.

Due to being able to lay the material in a single layer without fire, the membrane installation can be done within a short time: an experienced team can completely waterproof a 1000 sq. meter roof in one shift.
